If you have a serious love for chocolate and need a way to make the time pass a bit faster while you’re stuck in this office, you might pick up one of these. Every single hour it will present a chocolaty treat to you and you have to snatch it off of the tray before it closes back up again. Which means you’ll have to watch the clock a bit closer, as if you weren’t watching it closely enough before. Sadly watching the clock never seems to make it move any faster, in fact it seems to go slower. Luckily if you need an extra boost you can hit the cheat button.
The cheat button will then dispense a chocolate for you even though it’s not time for the hourly sweets. Hopefully the compartment you fill with chocolate stays cool enough that they won’t melt together. You’ll also have to be mindful and make sure the room itself doesn’t get too warm. It will hold about 30 pieces of chocolates, giving you about 30 hours of chocolate. That is unless you’re too anxious and hit the cheat button a lot. You can pick it up for about $40, sadly it’s sold out of the US right now. The UK site has it in stock though.

Very nice little gadget, we would definitely feature it in our next week’s Top 5 Gadgets

A nice one indeed, though I fear it actually doesn’t matter whether the compartment or the room gets cool enough for the chocolates to melt… they wouldn’t have the time to melt due to the “cheat” button.

I NEED THAT
too bad its design sucks

Cute. Would make a nice gift for a girl. Also I wouldn’t worry about the chocolate balls inside melting, you could fill it with Woppers or something else with a higher melt temperature. You gotta be a real moron to put chocolate balls in that thing and put it somewhere where it’ll get hot enough for the chocolates to melt. You could put gumballs in it too. Of course, why buy something that dispenses 1 per hour when you can just get a gumball jar.

Buying one of these allows everyday office workers the chance to become pigeons in a skinner box.

Hahaha, what a neat little gadget. I think it would work great for kids somehow.

it would be perfect; but the cheat button kind of ruins it.

This is crazy.. i like chocolates?
August 27th, 2008 at 8:43 pm
Sorry, folks, this is really stupid.
How about you eat a little piece of chocolate every hour? Set a timer if you want. This isn’t ‘design.’ It’s a badly-realized visual pun.

Alot of you people are taking this neat little gadget entirely too seriously! Toys like this are meant to be for FUN, not function. Lighten up and enjoy it for the tongue-in-cheek idea that it is!
